JOB DETAIL

  •  A candidate is responsible to handle/support Enterprize Kafka infrastructure and support tools
  • Analysis and development of code
  • Able to multi-task and a go-getter attitude
  • Assist peers and offshore team members in resolving issues
  • Support and maintain infrastructure solutions utilizing required tools and technologies eg. Kafka.  Provide off-hours support (as required).
  • Periodic monitoring of applications to ensure SLAs are met
  • Triaging of production issues with relevant stakeholders
  • Effective communication of statuses to relevant stakeholders
  • Ensure adherence to architecture standards and roadmaps
  • Design and successfully implement overall infrastructure/middleware components per project with infrastructure teams, ensuring that the overall solution is designed to meet SLA (performance and up-time), DR, and scalability needs required by the solution
  • Support the architecture, engineering, implementation, and support of custom-developed and vendor-purchased integration solutions as well as bulk data movement throughout the enterprise and to external vendors
  • Ensure that post-production operational processes/deliverables are well designed and implemented before the project moves into the solution support phase.
  • Define and create operational procedures, processes, and scripts.
  • Follow appropriate change/release management practices.
  • Develop and maintain a deployed technology list for each infrastructure discipline.
  • Assist in the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new tools and technologies with infrastructure teams to ensure adherence to architecture guidelines for new tools and technology introduction.
  • Evaluate vendor technical and support capabilities.
  • Work with vendors to troubleshoot product-related issues to keep the environment/infrastructure live and healthy.
  • Involvement in establishing standards and guidelines.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position.

 

Desired Experience:

  • Java/J2EE and Related Frameworks
  • Kafka (Preferred if experienced in Kafka administration)
  • DevOps/Automation Technologies, Code Repository
  • working with legacy systems
  • Unix/Linux, Shell Scripting

Good to have:

Knowledge of Confluent control center, Conductor, Monitoring tools like Dynatrace, Graphana, Infrastructure As Code architecture, Ansible, Experience with service now ticket management system.
