Database Architect works alongside Information Architects, Engineers, Data Scientists, and other stakeholders to understand the banking data domains, ecosystem and create/recommend data architecture designs, data modeling to support several ETL, reporting solutions and services. The Database Architect is responsible for designing integrated data solutions from disparate data source systems, to store the data to a centralized data lake, snowflake lake house.  Must ensure data governance requirements are satisfied during data architecture recommendations.
 

Position Responsibilities:
Design, recommend well-governed data architecture solutions for banking data domain. Work with data domain stakeholders to understand the existing data ecosystem, data flow and usage. Adopt best practices in data repository governance, data cataloging, lineage. Ensure the data security measures are implemented during the architecture design solutions. Maintain detailed documentation of the data architecture, modeling, governance, security requirements and proposals. Design for scalable data architecture to ensure systems and process stability, and operational efficiency. Be on top of latest data technologies and perform Proof-of-concept tasks to evaluate new data architecture solutions. Work as a team to achieve the common business and technology goals. Design and implement security measures to protect data from unauthorized access or misuse. Keeps management informed of the status of activities through accurate, timely, and appropriate reporting. Contribute to Data Governance, system documentation and sharing of data asset knowledge.
