Required:

  • 8+ years’ experience in business analysis discipline
  • Proven experienced in requirements elicitation for a variety of projects and from various levels and business functions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experienced in creating business and functional requirements.
  • Experienced in writing user stories.
  • Experience with waterfall, hybrid, and agile solution development methodologies
  • Ability to articulate tech jargon and translate tech concepts to business sponsors.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (This list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented and changed, as necessary.)

  • Perform business analysis functions by seeking out, identifying, and resolving business needs and/or business problems through process and/or technical recommendations and/or technical solutions within financial systems.
  • Research, understand, and document business processes, data attributes, data flows, and financial reports.
  • Elicit and capture requirements from key business contacts and ensure documented requirements satisfy business needs (aligning use cases and stories/features to business processes) while addressing all downstream impacts. 
  • Be able to work with various business groups to listen and tease out the requirements.
  • Understand database characteristics (tables, fields, valid values) for reporting and decision making.
  • Be able to pull sample data from various databases using SQL and/or other tools and conduct quality assessments of data reports.
  • Evaluate how new requirements fit into an existing product and ensure consistency throughout the product.
  • Be a part of the change management process and effectively communicate required changes to development teams.
  • Demonstrate analytical and organizational skills by analyzing and documenting complex information structures involving multiple layers of data and workflows.
  • Work independently and self-manage tasks and time to balance and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Adapt communication language and style to varied audiences making use of Microsoft PowerPoint, Visio, and other tools.
  • Executes assigned project efforts in accordance with the Firm's project management life cycle methodology, complying with security, risk, data and other Firm PMLC protocols to ensure that project efforts are focused on the proper solution and level of functionality needed to meet the objectives.
