Provide architectural leadership for technology solutions, data architectures, data lakes, cloud and infrastructure initiatives.
End to end Cloud Data Lake architecture design & implementation including data ingestion, data modeling and data distribution.
Build data integrations between on-prem/cloud-based systems.
Design and develop high volume data ingestion components and ETL solutions to collect data from various sources.
Recommend data governance processes, security standards, and models that will provide architectural guidelines to support the development initiatives.
Drive strategic and tactical planning and design sessions and conduct whiteboard sessions with business users, technology management, data analysts, data engineers and development teams.
Manage and use appropriate tools in the cloud data lake development and deployment.
Administer the overall Cloud data strategy, architecture, security, definition of data models, data marts, evaluation of infrastructure components and performance.
Drive decision-making processes to align with business priorities and objectives related to key architecture solutions.
Responsible for developing/implementing cloud infrastructure to support current and future business needs.
Required Skills:
Hands-on experience in architecture and design of Cloud Data Platforms.
Significant experience with Cloud Data lake technologies and complex data architecture and models. Experience building and managing cloud data platforms.
Working knowledge of designing architectures for large volume data streams and component services.
Knowledge of and experience with Azure/Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure Blob/AWS S3, Databricks, Apache Spark, Snowflake etc.
Proficient at coding in Python/Java/SQL.
Strong experience in building data ingestion, data catalog and data analytics framework.
Strong experience in application design and development.
Experience in data virtualization desired.
Experience in design and architecture review.
Experience in agile data and development engineering methods.
