• Functional Summary: Responsible for data extraction and conversion from SAP. Tasks will encompass coordinating data mapping, creating efficient ABAP scripts, and cultivating collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the accuracy of data extraction, the preservation of data integrity, and the completion of comprehensive data conversions from the legacy system.

Skills Requirement:

• The SAP ABAP Developer applies technical skills to SAP products, including CRM, ECC, Business Warehouse, IS-Utilities, SRM, database, and operating system skills to maintain the integrity of the client SAP landscape environments.
• ABAP Programming: Proficiency in ABAP programming is the core skill needed for data conversion tasks in the SAP environment.
• Data Mapping: The ability to map data from source to target systems is fundamental for accurate data conversion.
• SAP Integration: A deep understanding of SAP systems and their integration with various modules is crucial for successful data conversion.
• Data Transformation: Expertise in transforming and cleansing data is essential to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
• Solid knowledge of user exists, dialog programming, interface programming, BADIs, BAPIs, BDC, EDI, RFC, IDOCs, Web Services, SAP Scripts, ALE, Smartforms, Adobe Interactive Forms, Workflow, Web-UI, and ABAP Web Dynpro.
• Collaboration: Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams is vital to guarantee data integrity and the success of data conversion projects.
• Debugging and Troubleshooting: Proficiency in debugging and troubleshooting ABAP code is crucial for identifying and resolving issues that may arise during the data conversion process. This skill helps ensure a smooth and error-free data migration.
• Quality Assurance and Validation: Skills in designing and implementing quality checks and validation processes are essential. This involves verifying the accuracy and reliability of data post-conversion to maintain data integrity.
• Documentation: Strong documentation skills are vital for maintaining records of data conversion processes, code changes, and transformations. Well-documented processes help in tracking and understanding data conversion steps.
• Certification: SAP Certification is a plus.

Experience:

• 7 years of SAP ABAP Development or related development experience.
• 5 years of SAP ECC or other SAP functional experience.
• 5 years of experience as a technical/functional lead including project management skills, leading at least three projects to successful and on time completion.
• Previous data migration and extraction experience is a big plus.
