Working independently, responsibilities include the following related to Computer, Network, Storage, Cloud and End-User infrastructure:

1. Perform infrastructure project assignments.

2. Plan, research, evaluate and design infrastructure solutions.

3. Provide the installation, deployment and ongoing support of Network Enterprise-wide monitoring and troubleshooting solutions with emphasis in SolarWinds and Telenium products.

4. Create and deploy automation from proactive monitoring through issue identification & self-healing to prevent customer impact.

5. Apply network monitoring protocols like SNMP, FarScan, TL1, Syslog to enable network communications.

6. Bring a curious, innovative mindset, and critical thinking skills to approach the integration of SolarWinds and Telenium products to other AEP tools and processes.

7. Provide a high level of technical support and analysis, operation, administration, and troubleshooting activities. Adhere to AEP's approval processes as part of change management, incident management, and trouble response scenarios.

8. Prepare cost estimates, justifications, application requirements, alternative solutions, and technical recommendations.

9. Prepare technical documentation including procedures, manuals, and reports.

10. Review and adhere to budgeting and approval processes while assisting with annual and project planning.

11. May provide training and mentoring, as well as work direction, to others on the team.

Basic Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field is required.

Experience: 5 years of relevant work experience is required. An equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered.
