Responsibilities: 

• Develop high-quality software applications using Ruby  
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code  
• Monitor and patch Ruby runtime and library vulnerabilities, ensuring that Ruby applications remain secure and up to date.  
• Keep Ruby and its associated libraries up to date, ensuring that the latest features and bug fixes are available to developers.  
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure that Ruby applications are optimized for performance, scalability, and maintainability.

Technical Experience: 

• Must have Ruby on Rails skill  
• Good to have Ruby programming language and related frameworks eg, Ruby on Rails  
• Good to have a Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles
• Good to have Experience with relational databases e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL  
• Good to have Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript  
• Good to have Experience with version control systems
• In-depth understanding of object-oriented programming

Expertise in Rails: 

• Understanding of agile software development
• Strong problem-solving skills  
• Team player, strong communicator

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or Computer Application will be preferred.
• Minimum of 7+ years of hands-on experience on Ruby on Rails
• The candidate with React experience will be an added advantage  
• Ability to learn/use a wide variety of open-source technologies and tools
• Comprehensive knowledge regarding contemporary processes and methodologies for development
