Technical Delivery Lead Role
Primary responsibility will be to ensure that the data products are designed, developed, and transitioned into operations seamlessly, adhering to best practices and meeting high-quality standards. The technical delivery lead role is expected to have experience in working and leading development of complex data engineering pipelines and have proficiency in Databricks, Airflow, AWS data engineering services like AWS S3, EMR, RDS, Redshift, Athena, and Glue.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Product Owners and Business Project Management Office to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with cross-functional delivery teams of data engineers and Information architects from different domains to ensure alignment with project goals
- Provide technical leadership to development teams, ensuring adherence to industry best practices in the design and development of data engineering pipelines
- Help translate business requirements into technical specifications for the development team
- Technical troubleshooting as needed during development and testing phase of the project
- Implement and enforce quality assurance processes to deliver high-quality, scalable, and reliable data products
- Conduct regular code reviews and ensure compliance with coding standards and architectural guidelines
- Identify and mitigate risks proactively, ensuring that potential issues are addressed before they impact project timelines and deliverables
- Develop and maintain risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans
- Work closely with support teams to ensure a smooth transition of products from development to production environments
- Develop and execute plans for knowledge transfer to support teams to facilitate efficient ongoing operations
- Maintain open and transparent communication with stakeholders, collaborate with project manager in providing regular updates on project progress, milestones, and potential risks
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and prioritize requirements, ensuring alignment with overall project objectives
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in technical leadership roles, overseeing complex projects involving data products
- Strong understanding of data engineering, analytics and related technologies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Technical proficiency in this order of priority: Databricks, AWS data engineering services, Airflow, Redshift, Athena, and Glue
