- Looking for an SAP FICO Functional Consultant to work in Chicago, IL or Indianapolis, IN or Louisville, KY or Cincinnati, OH
- 10+ years of experience in IT Consulting with 6+ years as an SAP FICO Functional Consultant
- Experience in working with Business (Finance) and IT teams to define, design, and implement business solutions in a methodical manner
- Experience with at least 2 full life cycle implementations in the capacity of an SAP FICO Functional Consultant
Responsibilities:
- Apply business processes understanding to effectively perform AS-IS and TO-BE analysis, define requirements, play back to Finance team, and facilitate requirements finalization
- Act as a liaison between Business functions and IT teams
- In-depth understanding of Costing & Inventory reconciliation process and proven ability to interpret business need to technical and operational requirements
- Convert requirements to solution design and work with technical teams (SAP and non-SAP) by assisting the build of implementation/migration plan
- Well-versed with best business practices related to functional solution and associated process to ensure effective communication to stakeholders on pros and cons of deviation from such practices
- Ability to work with other system owners, like AS400, to ensure impacts on such systems, integrations, and any change management needed operationally for transaction processing efficiencies
- Ability to make configurations and related changes, limit, or eliminate customizations
- Coordinate with technical team on development and customization needs
- Modify functional specifications as needed and incorporate design changes
- Well-versed with workflows, controls, and user management related needs for the solution
- Possess strong presentation and communication skills to work with various stakeholders on the steering committee
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in IT Consulting with 6+ years as an SAP FICO Functional Consultant
- Experience with at least 2 full life cycle implementations in the capacity of an SAP FICO Functional Consultant
- Experience in working with Business (Finance) and IT teams to define, design, and implement business solutions in a methodical manner
- Bachelor’s Degree is preferred; equivalent real-world work experience will be considered
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Current SAP Certified Application Associate is preferred
