JOB DETAIL

  • Provide guidance and direction to OCM program's project teams on day-to-day project tasks.
  • Develop the program's formal project plans, specifying goals, strategy, and dependencies and scheduling and identifying risks, contingency plans, and allocation of available resources.
  • Follow the standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation for all projects being managed in accordance with the agency's best practices.
  • Identify, schedule, and manage project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks.
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities and drive accountability to project team members.
  • Direct and coordinate complex business requirements delivery, business process reengineering, and organizational change activities.
  • Direct and coordinate activities of project resources to see that the project progresses on schedule and within budget.
  • Track project-related costs and expenditures.
  • Facilitate project governance and executive status meetings, project team status meetings, scrums, and recurring agile meetings by defining agendas and running meetings effectively.
  • Aggregate status updates from project team members, track schedules, and manage risks and issues as required.
  • Prepare executive project status reports and keep the team, management, and all stakeholders informed of project status and related issues, resolving and escalating as necessary.
  • Manage scope and the project change request process (PCR), including coordinating the decision process regarding scope and budgetary impact if there are changes from original specifications.
  • Track and maintain project and technical documentation.
  • Manage and maintain project information in the ServiceNow IT Service Management (ITSM) system.
  • Follow the established Secure System Development Life Cycle (SSDLC).
  • Oversee enterprise multiyear projects that have multiple delivery dates and expectations, ensuring successful phased solution implementations.
  • Develop positive working relationships with ITS and vendor teams in a variety of venues and champion effective communication and collaboration.
  • Collaborate with the ITS PMO on developing necessary project plans and artifacts, including cost, scope, schedule, and quality, along with risks, issues, communication, resource management, and procurement management for their projects.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent PM credential/education/relevant experience.
  • 48+ months experience in successfully managing more than one interdependent Information Technology (IT) projects for the public sector/government from initiation through closeout.
  • 84 months experience as project team lead in a federal or state customer facing application project implementation.
  • 84+ months experience managing complex, cross-functional, multi-year IT projects demonstrating excellent oral and written communications with all stakeholders; with a focus on application development, vendor software implementation and/or technology infrastructure projects.
  • 84+ months experience developing and maintaining project artifacts including scope, charter, budget, schedule, resource, and communication plans using standard PM methodologies and tools.
  • 84+ months experience managing and implementing projects utilizing industry standard software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies including Waterfall, Agile and Hybrid.
