JOB DETAIL

seeking an enthusiastic, customer service oriented, Human Resources Specialist with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience to join our team in Arlington, VA. This position requires a team player mentality, and the ability to forge strong relationships with the team, our employees, and customers. The Human Resources Specialist will work collaboratively with colleagues to execute human resources strategies and to deliver core HR services. Duties to include, but not limited to:
Human Resources
*Onboarding: Manage in-person and remote orientation facilitation and oversee the new hire onboarding of all employees.
*Process new hire paperwork and support additional processes related to orientation and operations.
*Systems Administration: Enter new hire information and assists in maintaining personnel records and updating employee HRIS (ADP) databases in a confidential and efficient manner to include employee information changes, compensation changes, etc.
*Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes.
*Supports roll out of new HR systems and processes.
*Data Analytics: Responsible for reporting and metrics tracking and reporting by responding to data requests and manipulating data and creating charts as requested.
*Recruitment Support: review candidate applications in Lever, track recruitment data and complete the monthly scorecard.
*Partner with HR Leader and business leads to maintain and organize HR shared drive and intranet documents.
*Provide administrative and project level support as appropriate.
*Drive employee engagement programs and initiatives.
*HR Help: support responding to employee questions and HR inquiries.
*Stays abreast of industry trends inclusive of legislative and compliance related matters such as: ERISA, ACA, ADA, and other federal and state legal and regulatory requirements.
*Collaborate with supervisor and peers to determine the resolution to inquiries.
*Assist with all internal and external HR related inquiries or requests.
*Works on ad-hoc assignments as needed, assisting the HR team with special projects.
Benefits Management
*Manages all relevant Compensation and Benefits reporting and administration in HRIS (ADP) database.
*Coordinates with payroll to ensure the accuracy of benefits deductions and employee changes.
*Administering Family and Medical Leave and Paid Family Leave programs.
*Supports the company benefits program and annual open enrollment activities.
*Reconciliation and submission of HR related invoices.
*Handles benefits related inquiries and data entry.
*Ensures benefit and retirement programs are administered in compliance with all relevant regulatory and company governance requirements.
*Performs other duties as assigned.
Event Planning
*Coordinates logistical arrangements for office, division, and organizational events.
*Works with the Marketing team to ensure all events are consistent with Procon standards and image.
Qualifications and Skills
*Bachelor's degree and 3 to 5 years of relevant HR experience in one or more of the following areas: HR generalist support and partnership, compensation analysis, people management, and HR generalist experience.
*Knowledge and understanding of the technical areas of Human Resources policies and processes.
*Strong experience with HR Analytics and analysis.
*Ability to interact with individuals at all levels to request and provide information.
*Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint.
*Experience with HR information systems and applicant tracking systems, ADP (HRIS) system, preferred.
*Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe and G Suite.
*Exceptional time management and strong verbal and communication skills (including written, verbal, and telephone).
*Self-starter with project management mind-set.
*Flexible and capable of multi-tasking and prioritizing to meet business deadlines.
*Accountable, organized and detail oriented.
*Previous experience in the construction industry, a plus.
*May be required to lift 25 to 50 pound packages delivered to the office.
Physical Requirements
*Sitting and/or standing for extended periods of time.
*Mobility within the office including movement between floors and workstations.
*Repeated motions (i.e.-typing, reaching, bending, lifting and carrying).
