We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Technical Lead with Banking / Private Client / Broker Dealer implementation experience to join our dynamic team.
A successful candidate will be a key contributor to the development of multiple solutions, primarily merging an existing Broker Dealer to Fiserv DNA from Fidelity, FIS while ensuring flexibility, scalability, security, data quality, and regulatory compliance for the financial products and services offered by Signature / Flagstar Bank.
The ideal candidate would have prior financial services experience, understanding of configurations, experience with end-to-end migrations, related to Fiserv DNA core.
The candidate would also have excellent domain knowledge of broker dealer products and be able to come up with strategies for automation of onboarding of brokers, clients, accounts.
Responsibilities:
- Tech Design:
- Lead the technical design and implementation of migration strategies of brokerage solutions, considering business expectations, industry best practices, regulatory compliance, and scalability.
- Create solid technology deliverables from business requirements.
- Lead data mapping, migration, and data management exercises.
- Build technology solutions to migrate data and documents required for regulatory compliance and data retention needs.
- System Integration:
- Design and oversee the integration of Broker Dealer systems with third-party (SaaS) applications.
- Identify and build most effective migration strategies with detailed pro-con analysis along with summary recommendations for executives.
- Identify and recommend most effective test strategies for full coverage of functional validation and data quality verification.
- Work with teams to build and align best practices for integration lifecycle (SDLC) including testing.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams including stakeholders, project managers, development teams leadership, business SMEs, project teams, vendors, and external partners.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Foster strong relationships with external partners, vendors, and industry contacts to stay abreast of opportunities and challenges in the M&A and migration landscape.
- Documentation:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for technical, system configurations, and integration patterns.
- Provide training and guidance to technical teams on the implementation and maintenance of broker dealer solutions.
- Ensure that all program and project related documents are capturing right level of details and decision criteria based on technical recommendations for audit and control.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Technical Lead in the financial services industry.
- Experience with FISERV DNA, FIS, Fidelity in middleware.
- Proficiency in relevant programming languages (Java, C++, or Python), databases, and integration technologies commonly used in banking core solutions.
- Experience with Unix Shell scripting languages.
- Strong understanding of security, file transfer protocols (2FA, SFTP, Active Batch) related to banking operations.
- Knowledge of Databases (ODBC, Oracle, SQL Server, ETC).
- Experience with banking platforms, Private Client Banking solutions and operations (front end, middleware, and backend).
- Experience with end-to-end client data and trading data integrations within a distributed environment and strong understanding of file processing technologies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
- Highly ambitious and motivated and ability to work in a complex environment with multiple lines of business converging.
Preferred Skills:
- Front end trading tools (such as WealthScape).
- Certification in relevant technologies or architecture frameworks.
- Experience with complex M&A transactions, due diligence, valuation, and integration planning.
