We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cassandra Expert/Database Administrator (DBA) with expertise in installing Ops Center and working with Data StaxEnterprise (DSE) to join our team.
In this role, you will be responsible for the deployment, configuration, and administration of Cassandra clusters, as well as ensuring their optimal performance, scalability, and reliability.
Your primary focus will be on installing Ops Center and leveraging its capabilities to monitor, manage, and troubleshoot Cassandra databases.
Additionally, you will work closely with development teams, providing database-related support and expertise throughout the software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and maintain Cassandra clusters, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
Deploy and configure Ops Center for monitoring, management, and troubleshooting of Cassandra databases.
Collaborate with development teams to provide database-related support and expertise in application design, schema design, and query optimization.
Perform database capacity planning, monitor performance metrics, and implement optimizations to enhance system efficiency and response times.
Identify and resolve database issues, including data consistency, replication, and performance bottlenecks, through performance tuning, query optimization, and infrastructure enhancements.
Monitor and manage database backups, disaster recovery plans, and high-availability configurations to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
Develop and maintain documentation, including installation procedures, configuration guidelines, and troubleshooting guides.
Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to Cassandra and Ops Center.
