Splunk SME should be able to lead and mentor the Arlo team members in usage of Splunk. This person should be able to formulate a vision on the optimal usage of Splunk for Arlo's various applications and services which then has the possibility of expanding for rest of the business units.
Requirements and Responsibilities:
Hands-on expertise with creating and modifying Splunk dashboards and alerts.
Hands-on expertise with Splunk for security event gathering, processing, alerting, and reporting.
Help to document best practices in developing and using Splunk.
Working knowledge of Cloud Technologies preferably AWS.
Monitor common log sources (e.g., operating systems, databases, and applications). Most importantly Kubernetes ContainerPod logs.
Script, query, and parse log data using regular expressions in Splunk.
Strong communication skills and ready to take ownership of the tasks
Work with businessIT and create the next steps plan and implement the same.
Minimum 5 years of IT Experience out of which minimum 3 years of relevant Splunk experience and at least one programming knowledge like Python, Java, C, C++, etc.
Must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and 5+ years of experience in Cloud & Splunk
Multiple Certification towards Splunk is preferable.
