Scala, JAVA, Distributed systems development
BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
6+ years of relevant work experience
Web service and distributed systems development experience using JAVA/Scala
Experience working with noSQL databases/indexers such as mongo, cassandra or Elasticsearch
Experience working with highly scalable systems and data engineering
Exposure to technologies such as Play or http4s, kafka
Advanced understanding of Java and Scala core
Good understanding of Java and Scala design patterns
Advanced debugging skills (like working with VisualVM by analyzing heaps and memory leaks) would be a plus
Experience with Docker/AWS.
