JOB DETAIL

Job Summary: As a Lead Disaster Recovery Risk Analyst, you will be responsible for assessing, analyzing, and mitigating risks associated with disaster recovery operations. You will play a critical role in leading the development and implementation of disaster recovery plans and strategies to ensure the availability and resilience of our IT systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in risk management, disaster recovery planning, and IT infrastructure management.

In addition, you be responsible for leading the design, coordination, testing, and communication of disaster recovery plans and strategies for business locations across the organization. Conduct risk analysis to identify critical systems that are core to continued business operations and work with IT teams to develop plans to recover. Assemble matrixed recovery teams using resources from across IT and critical business stakeholders, assign responsibilities for technical subject matter experts, and develop project schedules.

 

Responsibilities

1.         Lead the development, communication, and ongoing maintenance of Company’s enterprise-wide Disaster Recovery Plans. Review for completeness ensuring accuracy is maintained. Manage issues derived during exercises to ensure resolutions are found and critical risks are closed.

2.         Document Disaster Recovery exercises and report results to management. Translate deficiencies exposed during exercises into business risk enabling stakeholders to assess risk exposure and either develop compensating controls or invest in additional IT.

3.         Closely interface with Business Continuity Management ensuring alignment between IT’s ability to recover applications and business requirements.

4.         Lead the development and maintenance of comprehensive disaster recovery plans, policies, and procedures to minimize the impact of disruptions on business operations.

5.         Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of existing disaster recovery plans and strategies and make recommendations for improvement.

6.         Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between disaster recovery plans and overall business objectives.

7.         Coordinate and conduct regular disaster recovery drills and exercises to test the effectiveness of recovery strategies and identify areas for improvement.

8.         Monitor and analyze key risk indicators to proactively identify potential risks and vulnerabilities.

9.         Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and best practices in disaster recovery and risk management.

10.       Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to ensure the availability and effectiveness of disaster recovery solutions.

11.       Prepare reports and presentations for senior management to communicate risks, mitigation strategies, and recovery capabilities.
