We need a strong Mainframe Systems Programmer who will be accountable for customizing out-of-the-box workload scheduler (WS) software.
Our client is removing CA tools from its mainframe environment. In this case, it is the current WS product, CA7, that is being removed. The CA7 workload scheduler product has been in place for many years and is highly customized.
CA7 is being replaced with IzWS (IBM Z Workload Scheduler). This off the shelf software package that will require heavy customization. The selected Systems Programmer will be responsible for standard customization duties including requirements analysis, configuration, scripting, integration, code level changes, testing, documentation, support and version control.
This engineer will attend meetings related to the IZWS product, will answer questions, will provide development options, help others upskill and be the lead point of contact for the project.
