JOB DETAIL

  • Manage and monitor Oracle Exadata Database Machine appliances, including tasks such as smart scans, cell management, and flash cache management. 
  • Administer, Upgrade databases to 19c version and maintain, and optimize Oracle databases on Exadata machines and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure ExaCS platform, ensuring high performance and availability. 
  • Administer SQL Server databases, ensuring performance and security. 
  • Implement and oversee cloud database solutions, particularly in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure environments, including database migration, performance tuning, and cost optimization. 
  • Configure and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies in both Exadata and cloud environments. 
  • Collaborate with network administrators and IT infrastructure teams to ensure efficient integration of Exadata and cloud databases with other enterprise systems. 
  • Lead efforts in performance tuning and query optimization for databases running on Exadata and in cloud environments. 
  • Implement and manage security measures for databases in Exadata and cloud platforms, including encryption, access control, and audit logging. 
  • Coordinate with Oracle support for Exadata-specific issues and maintain up-to-date knowledge of Oracle's latest offerings and best practices. 
  • Develop automation scripts to streamline database administration tasks in both Exadata and cloud environments. 
  • Observability and Management – Configure OEM, setting up of alerts and resolving issues. 
  • Develop and maintain dashboards in Grafana for real-time data visualization. 

Requirements: 

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Oracle Database Administration, with significant expertise in Exadata environments. 
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in SQL Server Database Administration. 
  • Strong experience with Oracle GoldenGate and Exadata Database Machine. 
  • Proven experience in managing databases in cloud environments, especially OCP and Azure  
  • Strong knowledge of database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery practices in Exadata and cloud platforms. 
  • Excellent skills in performance tuning and query optimization for Oracle databases. 
  • Experience with database security management in Exadata and cloud environments. 
  • Familiarity with automation and scripting languages for database administration tasks. 
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to system optimization. 
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
