- Manage and monitor Oracle Exadata Database Machine appliances, including tasks such as smart scans, cell management, and flash cache management.
- Administer, Upgrade databases to 19c version and maintain, and optimize Oracle databases on Exadata machines and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure ExaCS platform, ensuring high performance and availability.
- Administer SQL Server databases, ensuring performance and security.
- Implement and oversee cloud database solutions, particularly in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure environments, including database migration, performance tuning, and cost optimization.
- Configure and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies in both Exadata and cloud environments.
- Collaborate with network administrators and IT infrastructure teams to ensure efficient integration of Exadata and cloud databases with other enterprise systems.
- Lead efforts in performance tuning and query optimization for databases running on Exadata and in cloud environments.
- Implement and manage security measures for databases in Exadata and cloud platforms, including encryption, access control, and audit logging.
- Coordinate with Oracle support for Exadata-specific issues and maintain up-to-date knowledge of Oracle's latest offerings and best practices.
- Develop automation scripts to streamline database administration tasks in both Exadata and cloud environments.
- Observability and Management – Configure OEM, setting up of alerts and resolving issues.
- Develop and maintain dashboards in Grafana for real-time data visualization.
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Oracle Database Administration, with significant expertise in Exadata environments.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in SQL Server Database Administration.
- Strong experience with Oracle GoldenGate and Exadata Database Machine.
- Proven experience in managing databases in cloud environments, especially OCP and Azure
- Strong knowledge of database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery practices in Exadata and cloud platforms.
- Excellent skills in performance tuning and query optimization for Oracle databases.
- Experience with database security management in Exadata and cloud environments.
- Familiarity with automation and scripting languages for database administration tasks.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to system optimization.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
