JOB DETAIL

REMOTE - Expected hours of availability are Eastern Standard Time (8am – 5pm EST)

Justification: The PTC is implementing multiple projects by utilizing Microsoft's cloud platform and Azure Services. One of the most important tools in this process is Azure DevOps, which helps to ensure project success by providing End-to-End DevOps Lifecycle Management, Azure DevOps Configuration and Customization, Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Implementation, Collaboration, and Communication. Therefore, the goal of this position is to work with the PTC development team to understand their needs and establish a streamlined, automated, and collaborative development environment that follows best practices for creating fully functional and reliable CI/CD pipelines.

Description of Duties

The selected Candidate will perform the following duties:

·         Understand each process, standards, and document requirements by working with the development team, business, and other stakeholders.

·         Design, develop, and build automated CI/CD pipelines to deliver solutions. Automate deployment, scaling, and monitoring of applications and services.

·         Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth integration of solutions into a production environment.

·         Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to infrastructure, deployment, and automation.

·         Implement best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.

·         Perform system and application administration functions related to ADO.

·         Provide documentation and Knowledge Transfer on all work performed.

·         Assist the PTC’s Application Support team and Development team to assure the ADO is working as needed by the PTC.

·         Assist with Knowledge Articles related to the use and support of the ADO functionality.

·         Update documentation as assigned by the PTC.

·         Facilitates meetings with business leaders to elicit requirements or other pertinent information required to complete assigned tasks or project.

·         Demonstrates exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

·         Exhibits experience visually modeling the information obtained during elicitation meetings.

·         Coordinates with business owners and other analysts to define and refine the project scope.

·         Performs project management duties for the planning and requirement gathering phases of projects.

·         Develops and maintains a productive working relationship with technology staff, business owners, project sponsors, vendors, and key clients.

·         Completes projects consistent with PTC and PMO guidelines.

·         Work at the direction of the CBS Enterprise Development Supervisor

Desired Skillsets

The ideal candidate will have 5 years of expertise in implementing and supporting ADO.

Additional beneficial skills include:

     Experience with fundamental network configuration and troubleshooting in either a Windows or Linux environment.

·         Experience implementing/configuring CI/CD pipelines for new applications within an established automated CI/CD system.

·         Experience installing, configuring, and defining standards for a monitoring system.

·         Familiarity of VMWare or vSphere or similar technologies.

·         In-depth knowledge of Azure services and infrastructure components.

·         Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps and YAML-based pipeline configurations.

·         Familiarity with ARM Templates for infrastructure as code (IaC).

·         Ability to work independently to accomplish the tasks and duties assigned.

·         Utilizes various software and/or technology tools to perform job duties.

Minimum Experience

·         4 years’ experience in Azure DevOps Services administration.

·         3 years’ experience in Azure roles administration.

Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be accepted.

Certifications / Education

·         Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate,

·         Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate certification.

·         Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information systems.  Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be accepted.

Engagement Requirements

·         The Candidate shall be located within the Continental United States.  There is no opportunity for “Off-shore” resources.
