JOB DETAIL

Conduct a comprehensive assessment of the existing Citrix environment, with a primary focus on XenApp and related technologies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and understand organizational goals related to virtual desktop infrastructure.
Analyze performance metrics, user feedback, and system logs to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging technologies in virtualization, recommending solutions that align with organizational objectives.
Develop and present comprehensive reports outlining findings, recommendations, and a roadmap for implementing new technologies.
Work closely with the IT team to plan and advise of recommended changes, ensuring minimal disruption to end-users.
Collaborate with IT security teams to ensure that proposed solutions comply with security policies and standards.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Citrix Architect or similar role, with a focus on assessing and optimizing virtual desktop environments.
In-depth knowledge of Citrix technologies, especially XenApp, and a strong understanding of related technologies such as Citrix ADC and Citrix Cloud.
Demonstrated experience in evaluating and implementing new technologies to enhance virtual desktop infrastructure.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex systems and recommend strategic improvements.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Citrix certifications (e.g., CCA-V, CCP-V, CCE-V) are a plus.
Experience with several alternative technologies can be considered for virtual desktop and application delivery as alternatives to Citrix XenApp AWS Appstream and RemoteApp in Azure Virtual Desktop, and other similar products.
