JOB DETAIL

 

•         Collaborate in architecture, design and development of user interface, service tier and data tier components  

•         Lead design and development of mobile application products for delivery on standard iOS devices

•         Design and create database schemas to be implemented in a range of database platforms, including DB2 and Oracle

•         Develop code deliverables utilizing standard and current iOS coding languages

•         Deliver web service and application solutions to be deployed via standard mobile device management workflows

•         Support product deployment and product validation activities

•         Utilize the standard SDLC process standards as defined by the development team

•         Provide estimates to support project planning and product timelines

•         Mentor team members on agency specific and industry best practices for processes and standards

•         Perform code reviews

•         Participate and provide feedback in meetings, including daily standup meetings

•         The Front-End Developer ensures compliance with digital accessibility regulations and requirements by performing the following duties and responsibilities:

o   Build digital products with accessibility in mind

o   Incorporate accessibility features into digital content and resources

o   Partner with colleagues and team members to prioritize accessibility in digital content and resources

Additional Work Details:

·         The initial contract is full time, 40 hours per week; Work hours are 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday – Friday excluding state holidays and other office closings; Lunch is 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM

·         Work location is full-time telework

·         The candidate may be expected to report to the central office at 400 North Street, Harrisburg PA for meetings, JAD sessions, and other collaboration needs.

·         The selected candidate must have a current PATCH check

·         The selected candidate is expected to comply with existing agency procedures and policies

Skills and Experience:

Required – 8+ years

Experience with iOS SDK and native iOS languages (Objective C, Swift, SwifUI)

Experience with object-oriented development

Experience with consuming web services and synchronization of data between integration systems and databases

Experience with relational database development

Required – 5+ years

Experience in full iOS SDLC as an application developer

Experience with latest iOS APIs and frameworks, including JSON annotation

Experience with Core Data framework

Experience with iOS Auto Layout and UX refinement

Experience with blocks and notifications

Experience in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Angular, React

Experience in DevOps products, specifically Azure DevOps

Required – 3+ years

Experience in web service design & development (SOAP/XML and REST/JSON) for enterprise

Experience in architecting and developing mobile web applications for enterprise

Experience with various authentication protocols

Qualifications

Required: Applicants are required to have these qualifications:

  • Knowledge of digital accessibility and disability inclusion
  • Knowledge of regulations related to digital accessibility (e.g., Section 508, ADA)
  • Knowledge of WCAG 2.1 AA requirements
  • Experience designing for platform technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, iOS, Android)
  • Experience applying WAI-ARIA authoring guidelines and best practices
  • Experience optimizing for the accessibility features of the platform (HTML, iOS, Android)
  • Experience developing digital products that comply with accessibility standards

Preferred: Applicants with the following qualifications will be preferred:

  • Experience incorporating accessibility tests into the development process
  • Experience building digital products where compliance with accessibility standards is part of “definition of done”
