4 years’ experience configuring, deploying, and supporting Ubiquiti LAN switches and WAPs
Able to work in-person at various City locations as assigned, for up to 40-hours each week.
Knowledge of basic and advanced functions for the municipal network hardware and software components for ethernet and wireless complex public-facing networks.
Experience performing analysis and evaluation techniques to plan, design, expand, integrate, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot large complex public-facing networks made up of multiple rings and comprised of multiple similar and dissimilar technology platforms.
Experience determining the systems or networking requirements to plan for expansion of the current network while maintaining service performance and reliability standards across the entire network. Solve problems with minimal disruption or impact to the network. Exercise judgement, decisiveness and creativity in designing, planning, troubleshooting and integration of large complex networks based on the potential benefits and/or consequences.
Experience Developing alternative network implementation solutions within established guidelines and standards and document findings, designs, as-builts and completions of the construction.
Experience communicating effectively; establish good working relationships with other professionals, vendors, management, and departments. Read and understand professional journals, manuals, and literature.
Certification in Cisco CCNA or CCNP (or higher) routing and switching.
Strong technical aptitude and ability to research and solve complex issues independently.
