Description (including, but not limited to):
• Java Developer - The person would be responsible for doing development work that is required in IBIS and integration to/from client changes.
• Ability to work with Cognos and develop reporting & dashboards. The Technical Specialist has an overall knowledge and understanding of application development.
• Understanding and knowledge of application development and architecture that serves as a strong base for technical expertise in a specific product or program
• Analysis, visual design, development, data analysis, testing and implementation, technical and user documentation, software conversions, maintenance (including production support), etc.
• Secondary skills should include intermediate skills using OEM, TOAD, and data migrations.
• Understanding and having the ability to solve issues like hidden HTML, XML, etc.
• Implements and utilizes a new validation API that Client is providing to check for invalid account combinations in real time.
• Units Testing of new development
• The new Client impacts both the forms that agencies and budget analysts use, as well as the administrative / configuration functions in IBIS. Both sets of forms must be updated at the same time.
• This resource will work closely with a state lead developer/employee to utilize the new database structures on queries that must be developed.
Required / Desired Skills:
• Java Development Required 6 Years
• Oracle Required 5 Years
• Expertise with advanced SQL query development in Oracle Required 5 Years
• Cognos Reporting Required 4 Years
• HTML/XML Required 4 Years
• Ability to solve problems independently Required 4 Years
• TOAD/OEM Highly desired 3 Years
• Expertise with relational data modeling Desired 4 Years
• Knowledge of Oracle database management/administration including performance optimization Desired 4 Years
• Knowledge of JEE development, including one or more modern Java web application development frameworks (e.g. Spring, Hibernate, GWT) Desired 4 Years
• General knowledge of service-oriented application development Desired 3 Years
