JOB DETAIL

This position is supporting a migration from SharePoint 2019 to SSE. You would be responsible for programming on specific application subsets of the company's application portfolio, participating in all phases of the development and maintenance life cycle, typically for an assigned business unit, client program, or corporate department and utilizing various customer technology platforms.

 

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintain active relationships with customers to determine business requirements and leads requirements gathering meetings.
  • Facilitate group sessions to elicit complex information on requirements clarification, design sessions, code reviews and troubleshooting issues. Supports vendor evaluation.
  • Develop and own list of final enhancements.
  • Develop and define application scope and objectives and prepares technical and/or functional specifications from which programs will be written.
  • Perform technical design reviews and code reviews.
  • Ensure unit test is completed and meets the test plan requirements, system testing is completed and system is implemented according to plan.
  • Assess current status and support data information planning.
  • Mentor others and lead multiple or small to medium sized projects.
  • Code and maintain complex components of information systems.
  • Proactively manage the SharePoint environment to maximize value to the business.
  • Provide support and expertise to other team members to set up new SharePoint environments
  • Design and implement solutions using PowerApps and Power Automate
  • Develop and perform system testing and fixes defects identified during testing and re-executes unit tests to validate results.
  • Collaborate with other IT departments to analyze and classifies complex request and reviews and evaluates possible enhancements.
  • Work with development team to develop and define application scope and objectives and prepare functional and/or technical specifications.
  • Participate in requirements definition sessions to gain a general perspective on the business objective(s) or business problem that is to be addressed by the system.
  • Recommend strategies of process improvement and tools to achieve more efficient results and keep up with current technologies.

 

Experience we are looking for:

  • Sharepoint on-premises & Subscription Edition/ SharePoint Online development experience.
  • Experience setting up SharePoint environments: installing SharePoint Server and configuring the farm.
  • Experience configuring SharePoint infrastructure security: authentication, security roles, user groups, audiences, item level security based on Active Directory
  • Experience supporting external facing instances of SharePoint.
  • Experience developing applications with SharePoint and demonstrated experience building workflow and collaboration solutions.
  • Experience developing WSP packages for custom solutions deployment.
  • Experience documenting best practices for software configuration, site permission policy, and site template management.
  • Experience with multiple Business Intelligence tools, multi database, multi language or multi business application.

 

Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree in related field or technical institute training; 5 or more years related experience; multi platform experience, expert level experience with business and technical applications, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Experience with Agile or SAFe frameworks
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • 4-6 years of experience with Microsoft SharePoint administration / development
  • 2-3 years of experience with the Microsoft Power Platform (PowerApps and Power Automate)
  • Strong development skills in .NET Framework (C#) and SharePoint API's; Web Services and PowerShell programming.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented design, web application architecture; JavaScript, CSS, and XML.
  • Ability to create and update PowerShell scripts and learn new programming languages.
