JOB DETAIL

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other (KSAOs)- 

  • 6+ years of experience of automation testing across large, complex systems
  • 6+ years of experience with Agile methodologies, Test-Driven Development and continuous integration processes
  • 4+ years of experiences with ATDD using industry standard frameworks (Playwright, Selenium, TestComplete, or Cucumber)
  • 4+ years of experience implementing and managing automated testing systems/frameworks
  • Senior-level knowledge of and experience using Ruby, Java, JavaScript or Typescript for coding automated tests
  • Expert-level experience using the Jira and Atlassian suite
  • Any experience using Playwright with Typescript.
  • Any experience creating software test-automation in a Salesforce Lightning environment is preferred.
  • Expert-level understanding of, and competency in, creating comprehensive performance test plans, test cases, and associated work products/strategies
  • Demonstrated strong familiarity with software quality assurance methodologies, software testing best practices, quality metrics, and performance & automated testing tools
  • Experience with Cloud and microservices based architectures
  • Eagerness and willingness to learn the latest automation engineering trends
  • Organized and capable of prioritizing and managing multiple concurrent projects or initiatives
  • Ability to translate business needs into requirements

Purpose of Position:

  • The Automation Quality Assurance Engineer, Lead will work closely with development teams to ensure applications have appropriate automation testing capabilities to ensure application performance, scalability and quality to meet user expectations.
  • The Automation Quality Assurance Engineer, Lead will be an expert in automated testing processes and frameworks and will plan, perform, monitor, and lead software testing and quality assurance activities for large-scale and complex systems.
  • The role will drive automation capabilities and identify solutions to improve application performance.

 

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Ability to implement automated testing capabilities in both cloud native and legacy technology environments.
  • Leverage expertise to assist applications teams in interpreting performance results and determining solutions for improvement (both infrastructure and application)
  • Work with business partners, architects and other groups in the organization to identify technical and functional needs for automated testing
  • Provide insight and recommendations into automated testing methodologies and best practices, including environment set up and the selection of technology and tools for ATDD.
  • Implement automated solutions that integrate into the CI/CD pipelines
  • Strategize how automated testing will integrate into the SDLC sprint cadence across multiple initiatives/teams in an agile environment
  • Design and implement solutions to evaluate and improve quality of applications through test-driven development, integration and regression testing processes
  • Implement improvements, which may require ingenuity and creativity, with measurable quality indicators (KPI's)
  • Understand non-functional requirements and service level agreements for all business functions
  • Develop models for sizing and scaling applications based on client requirements
  • Provide and present performance test results to stakeholders in a clear format highlighting the trouble areas and suggested solutions
  • Drive the adoption of proven automated testing patterns and technologies to ensure timely, high-quality releases.


Education:
