Day to Day:
- Gather requirements & communicate the requirements to the developers
- Ability to understand how & why the environment communicates to make recommendations re: how to do things the best way
- Write technical documents
- Functional analyst – liaison between tech & biz users
- Manage the projects the developers are working on
- Developing test uses and test cases
- Supporting an implementation of a brand new GTS environment – getting requirements from the business side & translating to the dev teams
Must Haves:
- In layman's terms, what does this person need to be doing in their job every day? What’s the problem they are solving?
- Brand new dev environment for SAP GTS – they have kpmg as the implementation partner, configuring the sandbox right now and need to move into development
- Manage the projects from the perspective of the requirements – ensuring the developers are developing what the business is asking for
- SAP ECC experience as a functional business analyst
- Experience with a GTS implementation
Position Duties/Responsibilities
- Understand and document business requirements to determine the needs of the business around export compliance concerns.
- Suggest automated and active event management solutions.
- Translate business requirements into technical requirements, and work with development teams to implement custom solutions within existing applications/architectures
- Analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation (full lifecycle) of trade compliance applications.
- Adherence to TEIS best practices and development/project management methodologies.
- Support Enterprise Applications in adherence to service level agreements (examples include free trade agreements, denied party screening, product licensing, foreign trade reporting, Mexico Pedimento systems)
- Creation of documentation and training materials for support personnel as well as end-users of the applications.
Position Requirements/ Skills:
- Strong experience with SAP GTS
- Prior experience with SAP S/4 SD Processes is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in complete lifecycle development for Enterprise Applications.
- Technical experience with the following technologies - Solaris/Unix scripting, Oracle / PLSQL, XML, Java, Mulesoft
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication.
- Ability to multi-task, working on multiple projects at once, while adhering to established project timeframes.
- Ability to contribute to the design and architecture of the proposed solution in new tools/technical methods.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Prior experience with Trade Compliance applications, SAP, and reporting and analysis tools is a plus.
Education – Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent experience preferred.Best Regards,
