Job Purpose: Design solutions to enable Client products to run in the public clouds.
Requirements: This role will engineer cloud solutions in Azure, AWS, and Google that leverage the following services
Networking:
- Network boundaries
- Routing (User Defined Routing, System Defined Routing, Advanced BGP)
- Network Access control
- VPN
- Load balancing (Network load balancing, application load balancing)
- DNS (cloud and public)
- Cloud specific firewall appliances (AWS, Azure, Google)
- Third party appliance deployment (ie., Fortinet, Palo Also, Cisco ASA
Compute:
- API administration
- Scripting (Teraform, Python, etc.)
- Containers
- Kubernetes in the cloud
- Serverless functions
- Virtual Machines (engineering, access management, vMotion,)
Access Control:
- IP based access lists
- Identity management (user access, RBAC, Application identity mgmt and control)
Monitoring:
- Native cloud metrics gathering
- Log collection
- Performance evaluation
- Alerting and Incident response
Storage:
- Adding disk to virtual machines
- General vSAN knowledge
- Storage vMotion
Workflow:
- Migrating to the cloud
- Migrating among clouds
- Refactoring applications
- Continuous development
- Resource management (cost control, quotas, forecasting)
