Must have top 5 skills:

 

o            Mid-level, 6-7 years of experience, not looking for 10-12 year people

o            They need to act as a Lead, Technical leader ,thought leader, not a people leader.

o            Data engineer first, hands-on role, doing the work,  they will be assigned user stories.

o            Must know how to write queries, build data pipelines, data visualization reports and code (20%).

o            Code reviews, knows best practices, can offer peer to peer collaboration on quality of code.

o            They need to be able to look at the bigger picture, how is the data flowing in. What is the business case?

o            Looking for Talent, and personality is very important for someone like Andrew.

o            Can bring in some industry best practices, excited about technology

o            Collaborative, passionate, wants to learn and grow. 

 

Technical skills:

 

•            Microsoft shop

•            Azure cloud – REQUIRED

•            Back end – Azure cloud services (ADF, data bricks, Azure SQL)

•            Front End – Power BI

•            Microsoft Forums

Like to have: 

•            Python and PySpark
