•      Complete development of an existing web application. Remaining elements are predominantly UI based on previously designed functionality.

 

•      Current application sits on a MySQL Database accessed by a Python/Flask Web Service, with a frontend using ExtJS and Chart.JS for the charting.

 

•      The web application estimates the effect of safety systems on national crash populations based on user input and data-driven modeling.

 

 

 

Skills/Experience Required:

 

Critical:

 

•      Python (web applications/Flask)

 

•      Javascript front-end development

 

•      REST API (development/usage, working with JSON)

 

•      HTML/CSS knowledge

 

•      Modern Web Browser Understanding (changes for major browsers in past ~2 years, Chrome, Safari, Firefox)

 

•      Git (GitHub/Gitlab/etc.)

 

•      Access to Windows 10 based desktop---

 

•      Database querying (SQL or MySQL)

 

•      Javascript UI frameworks

 

 

 

Desired:

 

•      Basic understanding of statistics

 

•      Comfort working across disciplines to reach technical solutions

 

•      Ability to translate workflows into user-friendly UI

 

•      Experience working with large datasets

 

•      Experience working with ext.js
