Summary:
Skilled and experienced Databricks Project Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing projects related to Databricks implementation, optimization, and integration within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, particularly in the realm of data engineering and analytics, with a deep understanding of Databricks technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage Databricks projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather project requirements, define objectives, and develop project plans and timelines.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including data engineers, data scientists, analysts, and IT professionals to ensure seamless integration and implementation of Databricks solutions.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
- Provide regular project updates and reports to stakeholders, including project status, key milestones, and any deviations from the project plan.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on Databricks technologies, providing guidance and support to project teams as needed.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the project team and across the organization.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. (Master's degree preferred)
- Proven experience in project management, with a focus on data engineering, analytics, or related fields.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Databricks technologies, including Databricks Unified Analytics Platform, Spark, Delta Lake, and MLflow.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and proficiency in related services (e.g., S3, Azure Data Lake, BigQuery).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are a plus.
