JOB DETAIL

  1. Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with business stakeholders, including traders, compliance officers, and operations teams, to elicit and document business requirements for broker dealer projects.
  2. Process Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of existing business processes, workflows, and systems to identify inefficiencies, gaps, and opportunities for optimization.
  3. Solution Design: Work closely with technical teams to translate business requirements into functional specifications and design solutions that address the needs of the broker dealer business unit.
  4. Project Management: Assist in project planning, resource allocation, and scheduling activities to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
  5. Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop and execute test plans, scenarios, and scripts to validate the functionality and performance of broker dealer systems and applications.
  6. Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including business requirements documents, process flows, user guides, and training materials.
  7. Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate communication and collaboration among project stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, milestones, and risks.
  8. Compliance and Regulatory Support: Stay informed about regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to broker dealer operations, ensuring that projects adhere to relevant compliance standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field; Master's degree or MBA preferred.
  • 8 years of experience as a business analyst in the financial services industry, with a focus on broker dealer operations.
  • Solid understanding of broker dealer business processes, regulations (e.g., FINRA, SEC), and industry trends.
  • Proven track record of successfully gathering and documenting business requirements, conducting process analysis, and designing solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to critically evaluate information and data to solve complex problems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., Jira, Microsoft Project) is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, Series 7) are a plus.
