JOB DETAIL

Must Haves:

3-5 years of development experience with PL/SQL – Analyze, revise and design PL-SQL code for Oracle 12c applications

Backend database knowledge (backend on PL/SQL)

Experience w/ Oracle 12c (current version they are on) - Troubleshoot, identify, and resolve issues with Oracle database infrastructure

 

Plusses:

Write, troubleshoot, modify, and enhance complex Unix/Linux shell scripts

SSIS experience

GitHub experience

Healthcare and/or Healthcare Revenue Cycle experience

 

Day to day:

Insight Global is hiring a fully remote mid-level PL/SQL Developer to join one of the largest hospital corporations in the nation. This person will be joining a team of 6 other PL/SQL developers. This person will be a part of daily standups and scrum meetings to talk through updates on the current 16+ projects. This person needs to be comfortable being the only PL/SQL developer on the project they are assigned to.  They will participate in code reviews throughout the projects. Additional tasks they will be working on but not limited to:

 

  • Construct and/or consult in debugging applications across all aspects of application development including but not limited to Front end graphical user interface design as well as Middle tier and Database layer.
  • Consult in or directly develop processes for integrating new software into existing systems.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, project lead, management and stakeholders on project requirements and sprint planning.
  • Use Team foundation Server for source control, product backlog items and tasks
  • Provide accurate and thorough estimates of work effort.
  • Participate in large-scale development projects involving multiple areas outside of core team.
  • Develop understanding of defined SDLC processes and coding standards; maintain process and standards document repository.
  • Recommend process, product or service improvements
  • Solve unique and complex problems that have a broad effect on IT assets and product teams
  • Establishing and responding to system generated alerts
  • Serve as build master for Continuous Integration automated builds, setting up builds, build releases, configuration management
  • Support an enterprise database infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot and provide technical solutions to database issues encountered by new and existing applications in the environment.
  • Performance tuning of Oracle database and Operating system. Manage client priorities and expectations by establishing agreed service levels.
  • Assist with stored procedure design and package development as required by development projects.
  • Actively monitor the Oracle platforms to increase efficiency, improve reliability, and minimize operating expenses.
  • Analyze and tune application performance by optimizing SQL, stored procedures and triggers.
