The Data Quality Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring that data users have the best possible data to use in shaping policies that affect the health and lives of all Virginians. The Data Quality Analyst is a member of the Data Management Team, reporting to the Director, Data and Quality.  The primary functions of this role include:
 

• Develop and implement data quality control and processes
• Identify data inconsistencies, errors, and outliers using business rules, statistical modeling, and AI/ML
• Create and monitor data quality metrics and report metrics to stakeholders
• Collaborate with Data Owners, Data Stewards, and business units to identify and address data quality issues
• Design, document, and implement data preprocessing, normalization, and data cleaning processes
