Degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering or other quantitative field
10+ years of industry experience as a data scientist or in a role involving quantitative data analysis to solve problems
Knowledge of modern data mining, quantitative research, and data science techniques
Ability to design and execute data analysis using SQL, Python and other relevant tools
Experience wrangling and transforming raw data to ensure its accuracy and completeness
Experience developing and applying statistical models and algorithms to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies
Ability to work as a self-directed contributor with a proven track record of being detail orientated, innovative, creative, and strategic
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact effectively with business stakeholders and convey complex information in an understandable, compelling, and persuasive manner
Ability to define analytical agenda for projects, demonstrates ability to frame ambiguous business questions into analytical plans (e.g., assessing data needs, sourcing and preparing data, evaluating quality, etc.), and execute with precision
Self-motivated, with a high level of initiative
Comfort working with ambiguity, managing and resolving complex issues

Experience at an investment bank or other leading financial services firm
Understanding of fundamental analysis and financial modeling, including practical experience of using Excel for building and maintaining financial models
Prior experience in a front office role (such as M&A, ECM, DCM, or Equity Research)
