Our Retail client with over $50B in annual revenue has over 2000 stores, across 21 US states, with over 300,000 employees. This company is structured for innovation and implementing new technologies. The Executive leadership team strives for work life balance for all of its employees, while also providing extensive opportunities (but not requirements!) for overtime for Contractors. There is a strong focus on keeping employees and contractors’ long term, with some contractors on 3-4+ year contract engagements, while also providing the opportunity for growth (for both employees who have converted permanent, as well as contractors)!
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain .NET Core/C# applications, utilizing best practices for code quality, scalability, and maintainability.
- Assist in the delivery of technical projects
- Perform database administration tasks such as; monitoring, backup and recovery, and performance tuning.
- Implement and maintain Azure cloud services, ensuring scalability, availability, and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to database and application performance, security, and functionality.
- Leverage automation where possible to remove redundant error prone tasks to improve the quality of solutions.
- Conduct code reviews and participate in design sessions to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies related to SQL, .NET Core, C#, and Azure, and identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven track record with at least 4 years of experience as a software engineer
- Solid understanding of .NET Core/C# programming concepts and frameworks.
- Strong proficiency in SQL data modeling, development, and administration.
- Experience with Azure cloud services, including Azure SQL Database, Azure App Services, and Azure Functions.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipeline tools (e.g. Azure DevOps) and version control systems (e.g., GitHub)
- Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- 4+ years of professional software development experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
- Experience with Databricks
