We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Administrator (DBA) with expertise in Cassandra and AWS Managed Databases (RDS, MySQL, PostgreSQL) to join our team. The ideal candidate will take complete ownership of our databases, ensuring their smooth operation, performance, and reliability. This position requires a strong understanding of database management principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Database Administrator, with a focus on Cassandra and AWS Managed Databases.
Strong proficiency in database administration tasks such as backup and restore, performance tuning, and upgrades.
Hands-on experience with database monitoring and alerting tools.
In-depth knowledge of database security principles and best practices.
Experience working in a remote team environment.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Certification in relevant database technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Database - Specialty) is a plus.
