Required Skills/Experience  (Skills that the successful candidate(s) must have)

o     6+ years of experience in Oracle Database

o     Extensive experience with Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW) and Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC)

o     Experience with supporting an Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) cloud platform.

o     Extensive experience with Oracle RAC and Oracle Exadata Service

o     Extensive expertise in installing, administering, and managing Oracle databases, both on-premises and cloud.

o     Extensive expertise in database performance tuning

o     Strong understanding of database monitoring, especially with OEM and SQL monitoring tools.

o     Strong Experience with Shell and SQL scripting.

o     Experience with Microsoft SQL Server.

o     Experience administering SQL Server on Windows Platform or Oracle Real Application Cluster on Linux Platform

o     Ability to quickly diagnose problem areas and come up with solutions and/or workarounds.

o     Strong time management skills with willingness and ability to handle multiple projects/initiatives at the same time·

o     Self-motivated with strong team, interpersonal and communication skills·

o     Experience with full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

Assignment

Prefer local candidate to NYC with ability to be onsite as-needed (pre-scheduled), but open to remote resource with expectation to join meetings on camera and work EST daytime hours.

 

o     DBA will work on the following 3 projects:

     1.            Implementation of Oracle HCM Cloud to replace on-prem Peoplesoft HRMS.

     2.            Migration of on-premises SQL Server Employee Data Warehouse and reporting system to Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW) and Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC). 

     3.            Implementation of cloud OBIA/OAC on cloud Exadata Service. This will be a replacement of on-premises OBIA / Oracle 12c database.

o     The DBA will create, configure, and administer databases to support implementation of OBIA/ODI/OAC cloud platform.

o     DBA will perform configuration and support of database and will assist in database design with Systems Implementer & Solutions Architect.      This database will replace an on-premises Oracle 12c database.

o     The DBA will create, configure, and administer databases to support the implementation of ADW for HCM analytics platform (ODI/OAC) and will advise on tools and technologies for data integration. DBA will perform configuration and support of database and will assist in database design with Systems Implementer & Solutions Architect.    This DB will replace current Employee Data Warehouse SQL server data and will store 35+ years of employee history.    

o     Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.

o     Perform database administration functions such as database installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, capacity planning, backup, restore, disaster recovery, SQL code review, performance analysis, query tuning.

o     Document Runbook for database support specific to the BI,  HCM, and OAC applications

o     Document and test Disaster Recovery procedures

o     Help investigate, identify, and document existing integrations and active users to current Employee Datawarehouse

o     Help with migration of historic information from On-prem SQL Server databases to Oracle's Autonomous Cloud (ADW).

o     Work closely with other DBAs, Infrastructure team, application development team, business analysts and IT vendors to ensure high availability and proper functioning of databases.

o     Advise on and adhere to best practices related to monitoring, security, and performance tuning (Operating System, SQL Server, Disk Utilization, TSQL queries

o     Perform knowledge transfer to other team members.

o     Assist development and reporting groups in optimizing SQL statements in applications, batch jobs, and reports.

o     Apply data modeling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations.
