THIS IS A JOB DESCRIPTION FOR A TEMPORARY POSITION: 

This position prefers support to be performed on-site. Remote candidates will be considered only if available to be onsite the first week and periodically, with advanced notice.

The Sr. Java Developer position is responsible for front-end/back-end development for an existing commercial application. The project work will center around the company’s IT Service Management application suite and request portal. The position may involve handling support requests, interfacing with customers, and collaborating with team members.

Qualifications:

Strong skills in back-end application development with a solid understanding of Java, Spring MVC, JavaScript, Angular
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Be able to collaborate with other members of the team to find solutions.
Understands the trade-offs between making something perfect versus getting it done.
Action oriented and able to contribute code on day 1.
Requirements:

Extensive experience in:

Java, Spring MVC.
Spring Boot.
Angular
RESTful services.
 
Eclipse, VS Code.
JavaScript and jQuery.
Pluses:

Experience with MS SQL.
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
Experience with BMC Software (Helix)
