Role Description/Responsibilities:

Design, develop and test custom software solutions across multiple system components or applications. Create implementation or integration approach for applications and components. Translate system requirements into design specifications. Provide primary support for installation of application releases into production. Design and code applications in line with programming standards and interface specifications. Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and testing backend systems.

Candidates must have extensive experience and technical background in Java, Scala, NodeJS, Database, REST services and familiarity with AWS services including S3, DynamoDB, Lambda and other relevant technologies, etc. The candidate should possess a solid understanding of software development principles and testing methodologies. Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and testing backend systems.

Required Skills:

The ideal candidate should possess a solid understanding of software development principles and testing methodologies. The candidate will be required to collaborate with cross-teams including developers, infrastructure, DevOps, performance test engineers, etc. to ensure delivery of high-quality software solutions.

• Intermediate Proficiency Level in:

• Java
• Scala
• Relational Database Management System (RDBMS)
• Java API for RESTful Web Services (JAX-RS)
• Amazon Web Services (AWS)

All candidates should have:

• Proven ability to work independently and as a team member
• Strong organizational, attention-to-detail, multi-tasking, and time-management skills
• Eligibility to receive Federal Public Trust clearance
• Established residency in the US for at least 3 of the last 5 years.
• Candidates must be local to the Washington, D.C. Metro/Northern VA area – travel will not be reimbursed.
• Completed Background Investigation in accordance with Section 8.3 of your Subcontract Agreement prior to start of work.
