·       Work with stakeholders to understand technical constraints, and develop, communicate, and track against realistic plans to ship bug fixes and improve engineering fundamentals (availability, accessibility, and security) in well-loved parts of GitHub.

·       Coordinate with engineering leadership, customer support, and other teams to define and prioritize projects that help us meet business objectives.

·       Ensure compliance with GitHub software development best practices and industry standards.

·       Required qualifications.

·       9+ years’ experience writing production grade Rails, especially along with React.

·       Experience designing, building, scaling and maintaining distributed systems.

·       Experience in testing, production system monitoring, and observability.

·       Preferred qualifications

·       Strong customer focus and data driven approach.

·       Track record of strong analytical skills as well as communication skills both verbal and written

·       Passionate about fostering good engineering practices and processes.

·       Experience effectively contributing to technical strategy and roadmaps.

·       Candidates should have excellent debugging and communication skills.
