Trigyn's direct government client has long term contract opportunity for an Enterprise Data Architect in Manhattan, NY. The particulars of the opportunity are below:

 

Description:

The Enterprise Data Architect is responsible for setting the strategy for client’s data architecture, execution and providing technical architecture direction for delivery of the target state. This includes developing and implementing data standards, policies, and procedures; designing and implementing data models; and providing architecture of the data warehouse and other data repositories. The person appointed will be an integral member of the Enterprise Architecture Team and will be responsible for the design and implementation of the enterprise-wide data strategy, ensuring the strategy supports the current and future business needs. The Enterprise Data Architect will be instrumental in supporting several major enterprise-wide technology transformation projects from a data architecture perspective. They will apply their knowledge of good architecture practices, architecture documentation and data technologies to comprehensively capture client’s current state data architecture and oversee target state design and implementation holistically. The role will involve collaborating with various business stakeholders, and other IT stakeholders at all levels to ensure the enterprise data strategy and associated implementations are aligned with strategic goals and adding value to the business.

 

Responsibilities:

• Working closely with the Solutioning & Architecture team to shape team priorities and Data Strategy and Architecture transformation roadmap.

• Develop and maintain the enterprise data architecture, including data standards, policies, and procedures.

• Manage holistic roadmap of architecture change initiatives across the client, and coordinating requirements across different initiatives

• Build and maintain appropriate Enterprise Architecture artifacts including Entity Relationship Models, Data dictionary, classifications to aid data traceability

• Design and implement data models.

• Work with business units to understand their data needs and develop solutions to meet those needs.

• Actively participate in the implementation of an Enterprise Information Management strategy and solution.

• Be an active contributor to how the Authority evolves Data Governance practices and influence the adoption of data standards

• Build a framework of principles to ensure data integrity across the business applications.

• Stay up to date on the latest data technologies and trends.

• Provide training and support to staff on data management and usage.

• Establish governance of business concepts to promote standardization of meaning and reduce duplication of data assets.

 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Strong understanding of data governance and data quality principles

• 5+ years of experience in data architecture and management.

• Excellent problem solving and data modelling skills (logical, physical, sematic and integration models) including normalization, OLAP / OLTP principles and entity relationship analysis

• Experience of mapping key Enterprise data entities to business capabilities and applications

• Knowledge of business ecosystems, SaaS, infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), service-oriented architecture (SOA), APIs, open data, microservices, event-driven IT and predictive analytics

• Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and business intelligence tools.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Experience with data warehousing, dimensional modeling, data lake, and data pipeline development.

• Ability to lead complex, large-scale strategic initiatives.
