Interview Process: 2 rounds - Teams 1 hour and then 4-5 hour interview with team of 4 Senior Developers and Manager, which will include technical testing - abstract a program, whiteboard it, do objects, design the object, explain and tell team what the interface is for, and explain to team what they need to accomplish this
Schedule: They want someone in the Austin area - Some flexibility - Meetings Onsite are VERY occasionally but they do not want someone outside of the area. Travis County will issue equipment.
Immediate Project: C# application developer; the off the shelf version needs features built and customizations -- every day the need within the department gets a little bigger; must be full stack developer. This role will include a lot of service architecture, a lot of React and Azure Development.
Development experience is most important. They are trying to solve a constitutional right for everyone to have an attorney even if you cannot afford one on the criminal side. They are working to make sure that everyone has Attorney representation through building this app. BTW - it is not mobile.
Challenges – System is large. IDA (Indigent Defense Application - this is the internal piece of the system that covers administrative and finance)– there will be lots to learn and lots of table structures. It's a significant application. The other app is AMP (this is an app that attorneys log into to get case information, jail information, etc.)
