Position: SAP S4/HANA Implementation Technical Project Manager

Anticipated Start date: Immediate (13 month contract with option to extend)

Location: Onsite from Day1. Omaha, NE or Alpharetta, GA (must be able to go into the office 5 days a week) Job Description:

Responsibilities  

  • Responsible for project managing a team to help deliver a complex SAP S/4HANA global implementation  
  • Manage the day-to-day project activities and deliverables, including schedules, financials, and project change requests   
  • Report on project results, metrics, test, and deployment management activities   
  • Compile status reports relating to workstream milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues, communicating across program leadership   
  • Manage workstream scope and changes  
  • Set and continually manage project and program expectations while delegating and managing deliverables with team members and stakeholders   
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations to various audiences, including project team, sponsors, and key stakeholders   
  • Organize and lead working sessions with various business and technical resources, ensuring sessions and subsequent work products are well documented and incorporated into overall project process and delivery  
  • Document meeting minutes and decisions  
  • Track and manage project issues  
  • Monitor project and/or program execution and escalate project issues as necessary  
  • Maintain a flexible work schedule as there may be early morning or late evening calls and some weekend coverage for projects as necessary
  • Leverage applications like Clarity, JIRA, Excel, and other internal tracking tools for monitoring project/program productivity 

Requirements 

Education and Work Experience:

 

  • 10+ years of progressive technology project/program management experience, including management of major application development projects in a complex operating environment.
  • 4+ years of experience in SAP project implementations  
  • 2+ successful SAP project implementations
  • Technical background in SAP and related platforms
  • Experience implementing SAP S/4HANA in EMEA is a plus
  • Proficient with Waterfall Methodologies (experience with agile or hybrid methodologies is a plus)
  • Experience with applications like Clarity, JIRA, and other internal tracking tools for monitoring project/program productivity
  • Highly skilled in the following Microsoft applications: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Project, Visio, Teams, and SharePoint  
  • One or more of the following certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), Program Management Professional (PgMP), or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)    

 Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities: 

  • Proven track record in successfully leading projects and programs to on-time, on-schedule and within budget delivery, while ensuring stakeholder engagement and satisfaction   
  • Experience leading large scale integrated application / platform deployments  
  • History of leading, motivating and managing various project team sizes, including internal and external resources, while holding team accountable for performance
  • Strong technical aptitude, project time management and team collaboration skills  
  • Highly organized, self-sufficient, and comfortable working both independently and in a team-driven environment   
  • Effective communicator (written, verbal and presentation) with strong interpersonal skills and an ability to connect with varied global audiences
  • Ability to effectively prepare, conduct, participate in and follow up on business meetings with distributed teams in a concise and clear manner
  • Quickly identify, and analytically examine issues as they arise, then execute effective resolution strategies
  • Capable of making strategic decisions based on technical expertise  
  • Flexible with proven ability to adjust to shifting priorities, demands and timelines   
  • Must enjoy working in a fast paced, high pressure environment   
  • Capacity to align with scheduling across international teams
  • Prior project experience within the Financial Industry is a plus
