JOB DETAIL

Required Skills:

Product management, E-Commerce Domain & Shopify
Strong business analyst experience in eCommerce required and Shopify experience preferred
Experience with a product information management (PIM) system a plus
Requirements elicitation & ability to translate into viable, innovative technical solutions
Excellent technical writer & strong technical integration skills
Strong understanding of Agile & application development
Ability to create logical diagrams of complex interfaces.
Anticipates needs and takes initiative to address challenges.
Strong critical thinking and problem solving.
Degree level qualification in Information Technology, Engineering, Business or related discipline
10+ years of experience in IT Business Analysis (with at least 3-5 of those years in eCommerce experience)
Experience in documenting specifications and diagramming technical solutions for web-based applications.

Leading structured and efficient requirements definition sessions
Expert writing skills in requirements and technical documentation
Business process and technical architecture diagramming.
Using tools to create different levels of documentation.

Role and Responsibilities


The position is US-remote, Shopify Experience required.
The Technical Product Manager is responsible for:
Translating complex business problems into functional technical solutions, including but not limited to data mapping, technical evaluation of APIs and solutioning of associated interfaces, and systems analysis.
Communication of requirements to key engineering resources and actively contribute to application design for front and backend solutions.
Providing business and system subject matter technical expertise to engineering and business team members
Providing documentation for technical teams and business users (i.e. technical functional diagrams, User Stories, BPMN, Wireframes, UML, PowerPoint, etc.)
Breaking down business requirements into concise JIRA tickets (Epics, User Stories, Tasks) for engineers and defining Acceptance Criteria for QA analysts
Accept completed user stories to make sure the work and technical approach fulfills the criteria.
Communication with the business on delivered system capabilities, documenting those capabilities, and training the business on how to use those capabilities.
Contribute to the feature definition of the product by suggesting features in the backlog to improve usability and creating user stories for the development team.
Managing multiple work streams, assessing priorities, managing timelines, and delivering complete, accurate work products
Proactively resolving time conflict issues working with direct management

The Technical Product Manager is the key liaison between executive sponsors and engineering teams with the purpose to drive requirement elicitation and to design an agreed solution all within the project scope and budget. The ideal candidate will have a strong business and technical aptitude and know how to proactively facilitate both requirement and technical design discussions to completion and serve as the subject expert for project team members.
