Client is seeking an experienced Mainframe Senior Developer to join agile OPSYS Regulatory development/execution team. This team plays a critical role in ensuring that cross-border packages are reported accurately and on time to local government agencies, adhering to their regulatory and compliance rules.
Responsibilities:
- Take a leading role in the design, coding, and unit testing of new features and the maintenance of existing code.
- Collaborate closely with team members to ensure the successful development and execution of Regulatory projects.
- Strong communication skills to facilitate effective teamwork and clear understanding of project requirements.
- Proficiency in agile methodologies to streamline the development process.
Mandatory Skills:
- Mainframe COBOL: Proven expertise in mainframe COBOL programming.
- MQ: Strong knowledge and experience with Message Queues.
- DB2: Familiarity with DB2 databases is advantageous.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
- Demonstrated experience in mainframe development.
- Adept problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Extensive mainframe programming experience, coupled with expertise in MQ (Message Queues).
