JOB DETAIL

DHHS is seeking a Testing Specialist to do various levels of Testing on a modernization project for Division of Child Development and Early Education. DCDEE has and uses multiple systems to support Early Education Branch workforce and Regulatory Services Section that needs to be upgraded and modernized.  This development effort will start in Marchand is expected to last for a year.  However, the current contract will be for a period of 6.5 months ending on September 30th,2024.

The ideal candidate must have experience with interpreting business requirements/user stories to create all-inclusive test case scenarios, create test cases to meet functional, integration, system, regression and performance test phases, and document test case results. 

Candidate should have hands on experience working in an Agile development environment and is required to conduct various levels of manual and automation testing for this project.

 

This position is responsible for the following activities related to a critical system being developed in-house at the State:

  • Work with 3rd-party vendor, to create performance test plans
  • Coordinate test personnel resources and ensure completion of scheduled tests
  • Provide guidelines, reviews, and support to developers and business analysts by creating functional tests to test applications.
  • Develop Test cases per the Business Rules to perform or provide direction to others on testing requirements.
  • Perform testing activities, including test planning, UI automation, integration testing, functional testing, Regression testing and UAT testing.
  • Facilitate, record and capture information from demos and user experience sessions.
  • Ensure that requirements and deliverables are verified and validated at each testing phase and final acceptance.
  • Prepare test protocols and reports which meet regulatory requirements, during the final test cycle.
  • Help keep test processes streamlined for efficiency.
  • Use Microsoft office tools for testing activities and communications with team members and management.

 

Required Skills:

  • Experience assessing the testability of requirements and developing test cases based on Business Requirements and Software Design Documents.
  • Experience in the execution of test planning, UI automation, integration testing, functional testing, integration testing, regression testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) testing
  • Experience developing SQL queries.
  • Experience in Azure DevOps
  • Loggings defects, retesting defects and closing defects within Azure DevOps.
  • Experience in the review, analysis and reporting of test results.
  • Experience with Test and Defect Management Tools. Client ALM, JIRA preferred.
  • Experience on testing web applications
  • Experience with Cloud testing
  • Must be an excellent team player and be able to prioritize concurrent deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of Agile Methodology and Agile testing

 

Preferred Skills/Qualification:

• Hands on experience in test automation/test automation tools

• Strong knowledge of security, penetration, load, and performance testing

• Good to have State experience
