Be knowledgeable and conversant in Postgres including using the AWS native capabilities such as DMS and SCT
Be knowledgeable and conversant in best practices in Postgres using Fly Away and leveraging pipelines for all DB object creation
Be able to roll out their sleeves and troubleshoot
Be able to assist advise and lead the DB architects and developers on the team
Be detailed oriented and able to dig into the data about the objects current structures cross dependencies etc using tools such as excel etc
Be able to answer technical questions e g how to handle the DB links how to access Postgres how is access different in Postgres than in Oracle in meetings with stakeholders
Be able to read the room this is a soft skill but this senior architect should be able to read the room and direction of the conversation and take cues accordingly
Be articulate and engaged in meetings Be reliable and available for afternoon meetings.
