MUST HAVE:
Work involves planning, developing, implementing, and monitoring BI solutions and supporting TxDoT ITD process for ITBM application that tracks financials and performance metrics for service providers. Works under minimal supervision, with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgement.
DUTIES - The essential duties for this contract include:
• Proactively developing enhancements based on customer requirements to ensure growth in the
application
• Ability to learn Input application processes to understand source data impact to core application
• Review, confirm understanding of Service Provider contracted requirements (e.g., financial exhibits,
SLA exhibits)
• Design, build and deploy BI solutions (e.g. reporting tools)
• Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting
•Integration of PowerBI reporting with variety of applications and tools, including ServiceNow
• Evaluate and improve existing BI systems, proactively collaborate with teams to integrate systems
• Support definition of financial Billing Triggers (source data, algorithms), and SLA Triggers (source data, algorithms)
• Support documentation for source systems (e.g., ITSM, project management) definition of source
system data requirements
• Review, confirm understanding of target system processing logic (e.g., services, rates, calculations)
• Perform development and configuration of target system, including data input processing, calculation and charge/SLA processing, report configuration, invoice reconciliation processing
• Perform peer code reviews;
• Perform development and configuration of reports;
• Support development of test plans and create test plan data (unit, system, UAT, performance);
• Execute test plans (unit, system, UAT, performance) and resolve defects
• Support development of Operational Readiness plan
• Support activities to ensure the system is operationally ready for go-live
• Document ITFM/ITSLM operational processes
• Support monthly cycle execution and resolve data and processing issues
Minimum (Required) Years/ Skills/Experience:
9 years of Experience with Information Technology projects
5 years of Experience developing and organizing IT Application departments according to the mission and goals of the organization
8 years of Possess strong verbal and written skills in communicating with peers and different levels of
users, including executive staff
5 years of Experience building relationships with executive-level leadership from multiple business units
Recognize business requirements in the context of BI and create data models to transform raw data into relevant insights
Preferred Years/Experience:
Experience with ServiceNow or other ticketing system a plus
Experience with Service Level Agreements a plus
