The PP Business analyst analyzes complex business problems to be solved with SAP (ECC and S/4 HANA) and other associated business applications.  Provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective, offer enhanced business performance and meet user requirements. Configures system settings and options; plans and executes unit and integration testing; and creates specifications for systems to meet business requirements.  Design, configuration, and functional experience in the MM/PP modules is essential and understanding of other SAP modules would be of great benefit to the role.

Skills Required:

  • Understand the manufacturing and manufacturing planning side of the business and how SAP can best be used to meet business objectives.
  • Solution design for all projects in the manufacturing and manufacturing planning functional areas – including associated integrations.
  • Strong SAP technical, configuration, and business area knowledge in PP module.    Be able to configure the module at a project level.
  • Familiar with Variant Configuration usage in a manufacturing Make to Order scenario required.
  • Translate user’s requests into application system solutions.  Analyze system user requirements to define and design system configuration, enhancements, and modifications
  • Work in multidisciplinary teams to define and design complex processes and procedures for the configuration, upgrade, and maintenance of SAP and related application systems

The FICO Business analyst analyzes complex business problems to be solved with SAP (ECC and S/4 HANA) and other associated business applications.  Provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective, offer enhanced business performance and meet user requirements. Configures system settings and options; plans and executes unit and integration testing; and creates specifications for systems to meet business requirements.  Design, configuration, and functional experience in the FICO modules is essential and understanding of other SAP modules would be of great benefit to the role.
Skills Required
•    Strong SAP technical, configuration, and business area knowledge in FICO module.  Be able to configure the module assigned at a project level
•    Knowledge of FICO Configuration: including but not limited to Banking, Accounts Payable, COPA, Accounts Receivable, In-House Cash, Profit center accounting, cost center accounting.    
•    Knowledge of the CO module including product costing in make to stock and make to order scenario,, results analysis, WIP and variance calculation required.
•    Familiar with Setting up foreign sales offices for a manufacturing site and associated intercompany transactions for product sales required.   Experience with APAC and Europe Sales Office preferred.
•    Translate user’s requests into application system solutions.  Analyze system user requirements to define and design system configuration and enhancements
•    Work in multidisciplinary teams to define and design complex processes and procedures for the configuration, upgrade, and maintenance of SAP and related application systems
•    Define requirements for specific forms/reports
•    Design test plans, execute test scenarios, validate test data, and document test results
•    Assist with updating end-user documentation, coordinate end-user training documentation and train end users as required.  
•    Proven understanding of database applications, system development, report writing, and SAP ERP.  
•    Strong user experience and project experience of SAP and detailed SAP technical configuration knowledge and business process knowledge of SAP FI and CO Modules.   Knowledge of PS Module a plus.
•    Must have configuration expertise with both FI (GL accounting, Fixed Assets, AR/ AP and Banking) and CO (product costing, service order costing, results analysis and profitability reporting).
•    Experience with a 4-4-5 or equivalent calendar 
•    Prior experience in an S/4 environment with S/4 HANA Finance preferred – including ability to articulate differences from R/3 to S/4.
•    Familiar with working in an integrated SAP environment with single controlling area and multiple functions working across multiple company codes and regions and associated work.
•    Proven understanding of database applications, system development, report writing, and SAP ERP.  
•    Knowledge of SAP Best practices
