- Experience in Migrating Hadoop/Greenplum Systems to Snowflake.
- Rewriting all the Hive queries in Snowflake SQL to ensure utilizing Snowflake’s top features such as automatic query optimization and scaling.
- Implement approaches to Snowflake migration Re-engineering or rehosting(lift ‘n’ shift).
- Leverage data integration tools. For simplified migration to Snowflake.
- Ensuring accuracy and integrity of data and applications through analysis, coding, documenting, testing, and problem solving.
- Understand the program’s service catalog and document the list of tasks which has to be performed for each Lead the design, development, and maintenance of end to end migration processes from various sources into Snowflake data warehouse.
- Implement data controls to ensure compliance with data standards, security policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with data architects to design and implement scalable and efficient data architectures that support business intelligence and analytics requirements.
- Identify and implement performance optimization strategies for migration processes, ensuring timely and efficient data loading.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data integration and performance bottlenecks.
- Develop efficient code with unit testing and code documentation.
- Maintain detailed documentation of data engineering processes and solutions.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or Java.
